FPN started its inaugural season last night in the glorious eagles arena. FPN faced off against the 06-07 league champs, THE MERCHANTS. The game started off with crisp passing and end to end action. Both goalies made some key saves early to keep the game a tie. But 5 minutes in Fredie Mc Fredilson decided he was sick of a tie game. "i got a great pass for Otty and was able to go to my favorite place on and off the ice.....the 5 hole....dam i love that hole" said fredie. "it was a great boost to the team, with it being the first game and a sold out crowd, it let us all relax after we got that first one." said otty. FPN may have felt relaxed but the play did not show it. FPN ended up putting 3 more on the board to end the first with a 4-1 lead.
The second started off with much of the same. Bydal, Rost, and Norby were able to get to the net and bury it. "it was big to keep the pressure on them, they are the league champs, we knew if we sat back they would come back" said norby. The second ended with FPN on top 7-2.
The third got a little dicey. The merchants got a few goals to cut the lead but Jaco decided it was time to get his lunch box and go camp out in front of the net. With back to back goals by Jaco the game was out of reach. "those goals were big, i mean big, they were greasy and that's what we needed at the point to put the game out of reach.....hes an all star in my book" said otty.
FPN ended the game with an 11-5 win.

Player of the Game: Pretty much a team win so we had 3 stars of the night.

BDO clears out the locker room tonight with a late night shit. Very similar to the FPN's play in the second and third period. "I wanted to send a message to the team. make them understand that we can't get complacent early in the year. Hopefully, I won't have to do it again." -BDO
